today I finish my thesis...I hate conclusions.  I wish we could just write "the end," and be done with it.

I'm not thankful today... I have to take an exam where the right answers are the wrong ones and undermine and offend my very identity... no, perhaps thats too much of a stretch. Rather, it doesn't even recognize it. I swear that studying for this POS has raised my blood pressure so now I just need to calm down enough to get ready to be incensed again in a couple hours *sighs* I hate this class

... having that midterm over with. Now to see if 1) I need to take the class pass/fail or 2) I need to drop it all together and take a course this summer... please god let it not be either of those options!

1). i finally get to work w/ an entire crew that speaks english as their native language.
2). i spoke w/ a man named richard (a truck driver for de moya) and he speaks very little english but still decided to talk with me despite the language barrier. it taught me that anything can be accomplished if you are patient enough :) i managed to learn that he is from columbia and moved here three years ago w/ his family for political reasons. he is married and has two children. he was very nice and it was the first spanish speaking person that actually took the time to speak w/ me despite the fact that i can't speak his language or vice versa. it was very refreshing :)
