Saw on IMDb that Twitch has some new info on the possibility of a US release for the movie:

I hadn't heard about the live action movie. That's really exciting! I'm so glad it's (possibly?) coming to the US. The trailers look pretty amazing. Thanks for sharing :)

Do you know if it's already released in Japan or when it will be? All I saw on the IMDb site was a 2009 release date.

According to the Japanese trailer I saw on the page it'll be released in Japan on May 29, I think. I know it's the last part of May.

Yeah, I noticed that, too. I'll probably watch it at some point just to satisfy my curiosity, though.

Yeah, a lot of liberties have been taken with the plot of the original B: TLV animated movie, and this live-action film clearly isn't anything like the anime series or manga, but I'm glad that the Blood name is being kept alive in some way.

(Also, not enough Hagi. ;)

I'll definitely be checking it out, if for no other reason, just to see what's been altered.
