It turned out that one of my truck's new O2 sensors went bad, hence the check engine light. The dealership replaced it with another one promptly at no charge and offered profuse apologies- they truly were embarassed.

I dropped $3,800.00 on my truck two weeks ago. I let the shop keep my truck for a week, as I was out of town. (In other words, they had all the time they wanted.)
