sometimes i feel as though i'm being ridiculous for stressing myself out so much.

all my life, i've been told that the shit i do now will affect me later in life. in elementary school i was asked by a man passing out "career tests" where i wanted to go to college. i glanced at Drew Iwanicki's paper, which read "Ivy League" and decided that's where i wanted to go. 1. Fact: The world is run by C-average students.

2. Do what you love and the money will follow. OK, I have no idea if that's true or not, but it's all the hope I've got.

3. Whatever I'm saying to you in AIM right now.

The same thoughts have been plaguing my mind lately. Its a bold step for me to follow what I've been thinking lately as a response to these questions, but honestly, who gives a fuck? Where does there exist a timetable that dictates exactly how long it should take to finish college and to achieve the final goal? Parents confuse a scheduled map of college with one that is needed for the student with no goals or aspiration. For those people a sort of plan is needed to help encourage them to achieve something. You and I, on the other hand, are different. We have majors, know what we want to do in general and have goal oriented plans. Nobody ever knows what they want to do exactly in life, and for those who decide at an early age to be a doctor, lawyer, etc., I feel they're being naive. Once people are in college there are so many new things that they're introduced to and usually opinions and minds can change. That what college is for, and honestly for all those people who go away for school...what was the purpose of going out of state or ( ... )

"And these are the people who let government do anything it wants so long as theres milk at the grocery store."

This is so unutterably true. These kind of folks make me so sad--they wholeheartedly chant "AMERICA--FUCK YEA," and yet America has some of the lowest voter turnout rates in the world.

oh, and we elected a total dickwad.
