~You~
Name:Melissa S.
Gender: Female
Gender stamp preference (female/male/doesn't matter): I’d prefer to be matched with a male.
Likes: Psychology, Houston, Tx, Medicine, Houston Rockets, Laughing with friends, Action Movies, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, Josh Groban, WWII history, genetics, psychiatry, helping others, anime.
Dislikes:Abortion, racism, onions, ketchup, cockroaches, and speaking in public.
Strong points: Patient, kind, scholarly.
Weak Points:Shy, self-conscious, procrastinator.
~What do you look for in a boy/girlfriend?~
Personality:Intelligent, kind, and humorous. They have to be able to make me laugh above all else.
Physical Appearance:Um. I prefer them tall and lean. Big bulky men with lots of muscles is a turn off, but I’m not too picky besides that.
~Would you rather have your boy/girlfriend be:~
Calm or Energetic:Calm most of the time, but has his energetic moments.
Brains or Brawn:Brains. Without a doubt.
Mature or Immature: Mature to a point. I prefer someone who acts their age, but at the same time won’t look down on me because I still watch cartoons and laugh at fart jokes…in fact, it’d be cool if he liked fart jokes too. :)
Controlled or Impulsive: Controlled.
Confident or Modest: In the middle. I want him to be confident in his abilities, but at the same time not be arrogant about it and praise himself.
Leader or Follower: Someone who has the ability to lead, but generally generally prefers to let others take the lead unless his leadership is absolutely necessary.
Shy or Outgoing More on the outgoing side since I’m so shy.
Pessimistic or Optimistic: In the middle, perhaps with a slight lean towards optimism.
Honest or Secretive:I’d prefer if he was honest, but I’m not going to probe at him to reveal things to me that he doesn’t want to either.
~Questions~
Would you prefer someone who acts, thinks, etc like you or someone different from you? I’d say 75% different, 25% same. I want him to be more extroverted than I am to offset my horrible shyness, and more optimistic and confident. I’d want him to be kind and eager to laugh like I am, though.
What would be the Turn Ons/Turn Offs to a Guy/Girl?
Turn offs:1. Someone clingy. I don’t need him calling/texting me three times a day just to see what I’m doing.
2. Also, someone who is intentionally cruel and likes seeing others suffer.
3. Someone who is overly aggressive. I do want him to be passionate and bolder than I am, but while I also want him to understand that I’m very shy and it’s hard for me to do some things. I’d appreciate him talking for the best of us when my shyness gets the best of me, but I wouldn’t appreciate him trying to force me to talk in front of strangers.
Turn ons:1. Someone intelligent. It doesn’t matter to me if he’s a “nerd” or even intelligent in a “quirky” way, as long as he has knowledge, and isn’t arrogant about it.
2.Someone kind. I’ve worked my whole life trying to help others the best I can, and I would not want to be with someone who has trouble being kind to others.
3. Someone funny. I love laughing. It’s as simple as that. Like one of my favorite quotes from Freaks and Geeks states, "Laughter is the ultimate aphrodisiac. Get a woman laughing, you get a woman loving."
What would be your ideal first date? Doesn’t matter to me where we go, and I rather not do anything fancy. As long as there’s plenty of laughter than that sounds ideal to me. :)
What would be one crucial trait in your ideal boy/girlfriend?Humor. I’m a shy and serious student; I need someone to make me laugh.
