I signed up for a Machine Learning course on edx.org!

My goal is to learn about some of these buzzwords my colleagues are talking about. They say it and it makes them sounds so smart; it's time to find out if they're really actually smart.

Finally think I bought a place in the city. Well, the hope is I close sometime in September. Signed contract will hopefully go out within the week. That only took forever.

Just got gas by crossing the Whitestone Bridge into Bronx just off exit 2 on the Hutch. Virtually no wait, regular gas only. In another sign the gray matter is slowly turning white, I left my watch at the tennis center last night. Good thing nobody played after we left (lights went out shortly after we walked off the court) and I was able to retrieve it by driving there this morning.

A few weeks ago I had two boxes of Cushman's Honeybells arrive. I have an interesting memory of them being delivered to one of my friends as a present every year from their aunt, as well as a remark from some other friend saying just how awesome they were that was slightly R-rated ( Read more... )

Car's windshield absorbed a huge something bouncing along the Cross Bronx this weekend. Left concentric cracks where it hit the size of a grapefruit. The seconds before I saw something bouncing. Felt like something from Final Destination but luckily nothing else bad happened.

I am thinking of buying an ipad. Given the increase in pixels the new ipad is supposed to have twice as many LEDs to light up, and thus generates at least 50% more heat (given the 50% increase in battery capacity to offer the same battery life). As I understand it, the work of IT at investment banks differ from that of software companies.
