The outting
So we took the boy to an outdoor symphonic quartet in Addison. Jeff, Arielle, Jenn, Alex and I went and hung out. Alex got bored after a while and we let him run around snappin shots with my iPhone. It was like a study in textures!

My thanks...
I looked in my son's eyes tonight as I put him to bed. I'm so happy that I get to do that. It makes me grateful and indebted to all of the men and women of our Armed Forces, especially those who gave up all of their tomorrows, so we could have at least one more.

My Boss
I think that I quite likely have one of the best bosses on the face of the planet. This is my backup-oncall week, but the oncall guy is sick so I had to cover last night. We start getting calls at like 10pm and they continued every couple of hours until 4:30am ish. The downside is that I failed to hear the phone and wake up on the 4:30am call. ( Read more... ) -

It is irreverent in some of speech, but the entire thing was done in the spirit of genuine interest over the culture and traditions.
