I need my own personal Calliope, the muse, not the Grey's character. ;-)I am woefully stuck on some characterization in my sequel fic. It has now turned into a two parter. Is it sad that I want to interview a Iraq war vet for research? Good thing that I know one... whose number I DON'T have.

My brother was in both Gulf Wars and spent some time in Iraq. Well, obviously he can't say exactly, but it was hot, sandy and pretty bloody awful, from what I can gather. I could always ask him some questions for you if you'd like.

I wouldn't want to trouble either of you but most of my questions pertain to military SOP at check points and general things such as what off duty activities were available.

I was in a program called Reserve Officer Training Corps (basically training you to become a military officer) but it was Army ROTC and I'm writing about a Marine character so I am waffling around a bit.

Obviously, I am obsessively thorough. :-(
