My heart and prayers go out to the Campbell family - Bebe Moore Campbell is and will always be one of my favorite authors. Her stories always hit a nerve, touched on a difficult topic and were always real. I've read all of her books, (save children's stories)- my favorite book was the autobiographical "Sweet Summer," where she discussed the complex but loving relationship that she shared with her father. The literary world truly lost a beautiful soul and gifted writer.

I heard about it yesterday. It's very sad to lose another African American woman writer. It was tough losing Octavia Butler a few months ago.
