well i tried to make it interesting w/ light comedic moments...lol. all these characters (Patty/Ellen/Miranda/Andy) are so fascinating and complex that it made sense to try to 'hit' a range of emotions w/o being too angsty or gratuitous. needless to say, i'm thrilled you liked the story.
