Doctor, I... [falters, swallowing hard] I'll never mention any of it.

Thank you Ollie. You weren't supposed to learn that, but I can't exactly take it back, can I? [he's lying--of course he can, but he doesn't ever want to resort to that again.]

[shakes his head] I...shouldn't have asked. I didn't mean... [sighs, burying his face in his hands for a moment, frustrated] Why didn't I know!?

[sighs, taking a deep breath] Look, just...nothing's changed. Okay? Really.

No, I should've known something was wrong. Noticed it a bit myself, but I didn't want to. Lara was right. She and a few others had been right about that pollen the entire time.

It's not your fault. Don't kick yourself, alright? I'm sure I shouldn't have asked about your family. You must've had your reasons for not telling me about them.

I'd say don't worry about it, since people seem to have regained some of their senses, but Tyki's dangerous.

It's not my right to judge the living. I do anyway, [ and there's a flippant hand gesture ] but that's because I'm sensitive to whoever's idiotic and perverted. Years of practice on the Shinigami's side shows you how some things don't change after death.

Or that's what I'd tell you if I were in gigai.

[he freezes, sensing...something. can't figure out what just yet. he doesn't exactly hear what she says, but he knows he's not alone.]

Hello? [glances around] Who's there?

[ Have a ghostly hug, Doctor. She can effect the physical world, even if she's not a visible part of it. ]

That should be clear enough.

[he shuts his eyes as he feels the embrace. there wasn't any Spiridons on this planet--he would've met them by now--so there's only one clear answer about who is touching him.]

I'm sorry...

[A very female Abel is doing her best to smile convincingly, even if it's more than a little discomfiting to see such an ordinarily cheerful fellow looking like that.]

Oh, Doctor, you don't have to do that. If I lose my job, it won't be because I didn't have the right people vouching for me.

[smiles slightly] But I don't mind.

[blinks] Hang on. Were you...always like that?

But you shouldn't have to go out of your way for me. I'm not sure it would even be worth the trouble.

[She pulls up the collar of her suddenly too big uniform, hunching her shoulders.] Ah, like what?

To write a letter? It'd be no trouble! Just don't let me forget about it in all this excitement of ours.

Ahh, well... [rubs the back of his head] Like a girl, to be frank.

[sighs] Thank you, Lara. You tried to warn me, but well...I frankly didn't want to hear it!

You got hit pretty bad by the pollen, huh?

Ohhhhh, like a ton of bricks. Well, maybe half a ton, give or take a brick or two.

How about yourself? How'd you fare in our lovely planet's moment of floral discharge?

I got hit, but not so bad enough that I didn't click there was something weird going on. Still let slip a few things that I probably shouldn't have, though.

One of the more fortunate ones then. I see.

But let me ask, what kind of things? Personal details about your history? Secret desires? Frank opinion about someone's hair or clothing choice you wouldn't voice otherwise?
