!!!! I have that exact same book, the one with the beautiful wraparound illustrations. Arthur Szyk is magnificent. And so is JSF, though I haven't yet read Eating Animals. And so is JD Salinger. And Lewis Carroll. And Natalie Babbitt. <3
soo beautiful. the detail in Szyk's drawings is mind-blowing. and, i haven't actually read Everything is Illuminated or Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close but i've been meaning to... Eating Animals seems very interesting and unlike anything i've ever read, so i had to buy it. i just hope it doesn't gross me out TOO much. and, the last time i read Tuck Everlasting was probably in 5th grade. i'm curious to know if it still makes me cry. :)
Oh yesss, they're so vivid and fantastical. Please do! Those are two of my favorite books in the entire world; EL&IC in fact, is number one. I think the last time I read Tuck Everlasting was a few years ago. It actually touched me more than when I was ten years old. It's the sort of book where you just know will stay with you forever. <3
