[Continuing from my super embarrassing posts
here and
here.]
I thought about not continuing this, but decided to finish what I started.
Here's the last part in this series of half-hour Johnnys' dramas I've finished watching. Though I'd now describe all these dramas as old - not really new-ish anymore :)
Kamen Teacher...
Where to start?
This drama was a lot fun, full of humor, and even tugged on the heartstrings a bit. The drama not only had a movie (continuation from drama), but a special drama (prequel of the drama).
Kamen Teacher starred
Fujigaya Taisuke (Kis-My-Ft2) as Araki Gota aka Kamen Teacher. The plot is basically a mix between masked hero shows and future societies where children run wild. Kamen Teacher is the masked hero tasked with taming these wild children.
Other Johnnys' in the drama were
Jesse (SixTONES),
Kikuchi Fuma (SZ - I don't write the full name),
Kishi Yuta (King & Prince),
Kyomoto Taiga (SixTONES), and
Tsukada Ryoichi (A.B.C-Z). Appearing in the special were
Matsumura Hokuto (SixTONES),
Tanaka Juri (SixTONES), and
Yasui Kentaro (
ex-Johnny). Appearing in the movie are
Kotaki Nozomu (Johnny's WEST), Miyadate Ryota (Snow Man), Abe Ryohei (Snow Man), and Sakuma Daisuke (Snow Man).
I've watched this drama a couple of times. I love the parts with Tsukada. Tsukada's character is a parody of Kinpachi Sensei from
3 nen B gumi Kinpachi Sensei and he appears in a parody of that drama which Gota watches in each episode.

49 49 was about a teenager, Kagami Dan (
Sato Shori (SZ)), who is possessed by his dead father's soul for 49 days. Dan is sort of a loser who, with his father in his body, becomes rather popular. Dan and his father don't know what will happen to them when the 49 days are up.
The drama was funny, but also serious. Halfway through the drama I found myself disliking characters I liked at the beginning and liking characters I disliked at the beginning. There's teen angst, cross-dressing, and allusions to incest (Dan's dad is in his body and his mom's alive!). I did enjoy the drama, though I probably won't go out of my way to watch it again.
Other Johnnys' in the show: Jinguji Yuta (King & Prince), Teranishi Takuto (Johnny's Jr.), Shimekake Ryuya (Travis Japan), and ex-Johnnys'
Yasui Kentaro, Morita Myuto, and Abe Aran. Teranishi, at the end of the drama, has one of the funniest scenes.

Oniichan, Gacha Oniichan, Gacha is about an elementary school girl who lives in a world where you can add a brother to your family by using a
gacha machine. The brothers are with you in a trial period until you decide to officially add it to your family. One of the brothers, Toi (
Kishi Yuta (King & Prince)), sticks around as she tries other brothers out. Toi seems to have a secret, but what is it?
This drama was really adorable. I loved the sets and the characters. Basically, every week was an excuse to have another Johnny as a brother. Oniichans included Matsukura Kaito (Travis Japan), Fukazawa Tatsuya (Snow Man), Abe Aran (ex-Johnny), Morita Myuto (ex-Johnny), Matsuda Genta (Travis Japan), Iwamoto Hikaru (Snow Man), Tamamoto Fumito (ex-Johnny), and Jesse (SixTONES). Other Johnnys' were Kyomoto Taiga (SixTONES), Miyachika Kaito (Travis Japan), Meguro Ren (Snow Man), and Yoshizawa Shizuya (Travis Japan).
Episode seven with Morita Myuto as the oniichan is one of my favorites - it's hilarious. Each episode is funny, but episode seven is fabulous. I definitely recommend this drama.

Bukatsu, Suki Janakya Damedesu Ka? (Do We Have to Like Our Club Activities?)
Bukatsu, Suki Janakya Damedesu Ka? stars
Takahashi Kaito,
Jinguji Yuta, and
Iwahashi Genki from King & Prince as three high schoolers who belong to their school's soccer club. Kubota (Jinguji) likes being a member of the soccer club, though he's not very good at playing soccer. Nishino (Kaito) and Oyama (Genki) dislike being in the club, but are very good at playing soccer. This slice of life, school drama is a lot of fun. Morimoto Shintaro from SixTONES also appears in the drama. It's ten episodes and easy to get through in an afternoon (or evening, or morning - whenever you have time). Slice of life is one of my favorite genres, though I usually watch slice of life animated (this drama is based on a manga). Like Oniichan, Gacha, I highly recommend this drama.
