All of your loves are my loves. All of your issues are my issues. Ghost!Bobby is not making a lick of sense to me. Why you throw a sword and a wallet but you no throw a pillow at Dean's head in motel room, ghost!Bobby? WHY?
Although I can now look forward to the moment where Dean realizes he has to destroy Bobby's flask, and is totally crushed because it's like loosing him all over again.
I love how Garth is this huge dork on the surface, but when you look closer he really has everything Dean wants. I mean he has fun hunting, he has a lady with kids. He's relatively well adjusted. No wonder Dean likes him! I can totally imagine him stumbling into hunting in some innocent and awkward way, without tons of baggage.
I'm really glad I'm not the only one upset with the ghost!Bobby thing, that I'm not just being a grump. It seemed like the reaction was pretty much completely positive. I can definitely appreciate the manpain that will result, though.
Also why wouldn't Sam's attempt to contact him have worked?? It makes no sense at all, ugh...
Garth has kids? Wow! He really does have everything Dean wants. I bet if Sam & Dean hung around him more they could learn something.
The working theory in fandom right now is that since Bobby's ghost is attached to the flask, and the flask wasn't around when Sam Ouijied, then Bobby wouldn't have been around to reply to him. And THAT MUCH I can buy.
Oh, and Garth doesn't have his own kids. He said his lady has twins. So... like a successful version of Dean, Lisa and Ben.
Ha, I just came off this other blog where I completely felt like the odd one out!
It was like 99 comments on how awful Garth was and how they squeed when Bobby showed up in the end.
I'm with you here in that for me it was just the other way round. I seriously like Garth. He gives a bit of fun to the boys and provides some distraction from their problems. His role somehow reminds me of Chuck - who I really really liked.
And concerning Bobby, no, it can't be good. He'll have to go. I mean, since when can ghosts stick around and interact with people. Never turns out well. So they'll have to send him over. :(
And I so much enjoyed that little moment when Sam made Dean and Garth go to whereever they had to go and he just gave Dean that amused look that said Ha, gotcha!
Good to have Sam minus the man-pain!
And good to the power of ten that Garth made Dean give us more expressions than worry and grief!
Whaaaaat how can anyone hate Garth?? And yeah lol their non-verbal conversations in this episode were amazing.
It bugs me so much that they think that Bobby would choose to stick around. He's seen enough ghosts to know that's not a good idea. He's always been levelheaded and would be so pissed at Sam or Dean if they made that choice. He hasn't even really helped them that much by sticking around! I don't get why they would give him that whole ep and then not even have him move on.
I have no idea, it's pretty impressive. Like I definitely knew he had a tolerance, and I thought I was probably exaggerating his drinking problem in my head but that shocked even me!
