I thought I'd throw out some art and vids I love. I figured that since a few of you showed interest in checking out the show, I might as well start with some visuals before doing fic recs.

I think this fandom is a little slim in these areas, which is why they're combined here, but by all means add stuff you love and rec me places, because my art

okay. So I've seen like two or three epiosdes so far and yeah, WANT. So I'm looking forward to devouring thease once I've seen moar of the show.

(I did a little bit of googleing. There seems to be two rays. This confuses me.)

Okay, the Ray Conundrum. :P Basically, the first actor left the show, so they decided to bring in a wholly new actor, and instead of pretending that the new actor was the same Ray Vecchio, they wrote it in the show that the first Ray (Vecchio) went undercover for the mob, so this new guy who looks nothing like him (Kowalski) is brought in to go undercover as Vecchio in his place. It's wildly implausible, but they pull it off with good humor and I really love the series finale because they get the first Ray back and so we get to see both Rays interact. It'll make 100% more sense once you get to season 3.

The very best F/K vid ever is unfortunately not online, from the VCR vidding days. It is "The Rest Will Take Care Of Itself" by the Media Cannibals, and it is exactly the perfect song for RayK and all the clips make so much sense.

You appear to be missing SDWolfpup's You Can Call Me (gen, very good recruiter vid), Laura Shapiro's Wonder of Birds (F/K), here's luck's Out Here (Fraser-centric, which, sadly, I am still envious of as I'd been meaning to make that vid for years and never got around to it).

Guster is totally awesome (I have also always wanted to make a F/K vid to "Mona Lisa," maybe I should do that someday) and if that's the vid to "Airport", that is an awesome vid. I agree. :)

Also, zelempa has been making comic versions of some F/K stories.

See, there is so much out there I probably haven't seen. I sucked more at navigating livejournal two years ago, so I'm just now starting to know where to locate the good stuff. :)

My computer is, I think, much too old to vid these days. (It's, like, seven years old. Boo.)

Couple more vids: PR Zed's Bohemian Like You is multifandom -- dS (F/V and F/K), Professionals, and Man From UNCLE. Wheeeee! It is basically a collection of slashy moments.

(I have a fondness for Diana Williams' Collide, but I know a lot of people hate the song.)

ETA: And you're welcome for the links. LJ-era dS fandom is actually hard for me to find (yes, I have the newsletter friended); it seems easier to me to lay hands on pre-LJ stuff, just because there were fiction archives and I knew who the vidders were because there were only, like, five of them. So I'm looking forward to your fic rec day, because I have read very little recent dS. :P

I like Fraser and Vecchio's relationship dynamic; they're very Odd Couple :P
