To all the fans I've gained over the last year in Star Trek fandom: I have failed to squee more about Due South to you guys, since most of you have only known me post-ST, which has consumed my fannish life. DUE SOUTH IS AWESOME. I've seen a few of the seasons, but you have now inspired me to watch more of it. ♥

I agree that everyone else should watch it, too. It has CANON CROSSDRESSING! Fraser puts EVERYTHING in his mouth, such an oral fixation. And the MOUNTIE UNIFORM, UNFFFFFF. (Which reminds me, everyone in the world needs to see Canadian, Please, y/y?) What more can you ask for in a show???

I love this show but I wish I had it on DVD or something! It's so hard to find online, because it was made in the 90s before the time of iTunes. It's on my list to buy when I have some extra money. XP

Okay, this week I'm stealing my sister's DVDs to join you in the Due South love.

Fraser/Ray K is a fantastic pairing, and I say that because it's as obvious as 2009 House/Watson thanks to RDJude.

House/Watson? What an interesting pairing. Does that mean Holmes/Wilson is also on the table? :D I actually think I support this crossover.

Oh heck yes, I've seen just about everything regarding this show, including the Southbound special and the "lost Due South episode". So amazing, all of it.

Whee! I first came to Due South on the trail of... um, I think it was decent Sentinel writers who also wrote F/K, and for reasons that do not need exploring at this juncture, have remained... attached. Very attached. Oh God, I've just realized that was ten years ago.

Anyway. F/K are pretty much my all-time OTP of OTPs. :)

I have to bow down to you and your veteran status. :D I have to say that K/S just barely beat F/K for my all-time OTP, but man, F/K just makes me so happy. Talk about happy endings! You can't get a better ending for slash, unless it was blatantly made into text and the words "HEY EVERYONE, GUESS WHAT? FRASER AND RAY FUCKED AS SOON AS THEY GOT OVER THIS FIRST MOUNTAIN." It was so open-ended that writers could do anything with it. Unlike SOME endings I could name (seriously, Generations can go fuck itself. Talk about a shitty way to kill off an iconic character.)

All right well, if you want general recs, here's my F/K bookmarks on delicious. I have 46 and I'm fairly sure I'm missing a lot, but oh well. You basically can't go wrong with Speranza. I swear, everything she writes is AMAZING and she's the best. Practically every fic of hers has smoking hot porn included, even if many of the fics are long.

Now porn specifically? Speranza's A Dare's a Dare is about the hottest Fraser crossdressing fic ever, and it devolves into some lovely motel porn. Saturday Clothes is fun laundry day sex, and holy crap, Uniform Setting for, you guessed it, uniform kink.

I have commented on every single one of your posts for like the last month I'm not a stalker I swear they're all Relevant to My Interests.

But you keep talking about it and I feel like it's a grand old time of a fandom. Where is the easiest place for me to go and watch it? Video store rentals? *is cheap* I appreciate the cultural diversity in television choices and am now fully interested and yes have been totally guilted into it for not ever talking about anything but nerdy stuff.

Besides if it's almost as gay as Star Trek then why the fuck am I not watching it. I am excite for this week of....of idek what but hey I'm excite.

You can go watch it right now! This is the pilot movie and I always tell people that if they enjoy this movie (which was evidently popular enough to warrant getting its own show), then they'll probably go on to like the show itself.

This channel seems to have the first two seasons uploaded in good quality as well, and right now I'm uploading seasons 3&4 for my own journal, plus later I'll upload the first two seasons as well.

...I think I need to edit my post with this info. :D

Edit: I forgot to mention, my ship is in season 3&4, long story, so while a good number do ship Fraser/Vecchio, F/K is more popular and of course it's my OTP.

If I know it ends with F/K and it's slashier than the first then that's the one I'm going to have to ship, haha. 'Cuz yeah, sad endings do suck. :/ :/ :/

And you know, I think it's so cool how the show isn't just good with slash. I mean yes, I began it for the slash, but hell, I love those first two season SO MUCH and they don't even include my ship. That's awesome because some shows are only really good when slash is to be had.
