Zoe's Office - August 27

Despite how much Zoe had enjoyed her break, and the time she'd gotten to spend with Grace, she was very glad to be back at work - not as glad as she would have been if her office wasn't a mess though. There were bits of blue paint everywhere, signs of water damage in the corners, scorch marks on the walls, and a red streak on the floor that she was

Dean knocked on the doorframe. "Hey," he said. "Figured I'd come by to see if you needed any help and I'm thinking that's a big yes."

Zoe turned and grinned at Dean. "Oh, I am so glad to see you. I need someone with some upper body strength."

Dean grinned and dropped into a muscle man pose. "That's me. What do you need?"

"Can you help me move my desk over to this side of the office?" she said, pointing towards the right. "If I can get everything over here, then I can fix the other side of the office without things in my way."

"Is that going to lead to some freaky before and after office sides?" Dean asked curiously as he came forward to help with the desk as requested.

[bigdamndean]

"Probably," Zoe replied, taking the other end of the desk and carrying it away. "As long as the amount of office in the 'after' state increases, I don't mind."

"I can go get my camera and take some pictures if you want to document the transformation," Dean teased.

[bigdamndean]

"You're welcome to take pictures if you want. Now that I think about it, I could probably use them as evidence with the school board. If I have something to hold onto, I might be less likely to put new holes in their bodies."

"After what Sammy and some of the others went through, I can't say I'd be totally against new holes in the people who sent her here," Dean admitted. "But whatever you need that I can help with, you just need to ask."

"Thank you," Zoe replied. "I don't want to ask too much of you though. You should be relaxing this week."

"I'm good at working relaxing in around other things," Dean told her with a smirk.

[bigdamndean]

"Something tells me you didn't learn that from your father. I've been hard-pressed to try to fit the word 'relax' into his vocabulary."

"He just finds unusual things relaxing, I think."

[bigdamndean]

"Like cleaning weapons?" Zoe laughed. "He's also gotten good at relaxing when he's holding Grace while she's resting. I can only imagine what he was like when you and Sam were that small."

[saltandammo]

"Before Mom... he was..." Dean hesitated, trying to think of how to describe the Dad in those hazy early memories, then finally gave up with a shrug and a smile. "He was my Dad."

"And he's still your Dad," Zoe pointed out.
