A few thoughts on a Saturday night

While I really like every single character on The Vampire Diaries, I think Caroline has become my absolute favourite. Well, her and Jeremy. (Don't make me choose!) I really enjoyed Caroline last season, but this season? She's just the best. I love, love, LOVE her scenes with Tyler. Speaking of Tyler, Michael Trevino is killing it.

CAROLINE IS THE BESTEST EVER, IA IA IA. She's so sweet, ugh, and I didn't expect to love Caroline/Tyler so much, but now I really really do. Michael and Candice are fantastic.

And I really wish the show would stop thinking that they need ~Innocents~ to somehow make the story compelling. I mean, sure, the villains are holding these people over Elena's head, but they don't have to be clueless. I'm seriously all for Ensemble Shenanigans always and forever on this show, and for Matt and Jenna to be in on everything that's happening. I hope they go there, I really do.

Yeah, Caroline/Tyler took me by surprise! This show has a way of doing that. I just love her so much. I love how, as a vampire, she's really coming into her own. She's so strong now, and not just physically. It's like when Stefan was trapped down the well, and Caroline already had one leg over the ledge to go get him when Elena told her about the vervaine. Caroline's a big damn hero now. And they are NOT allowed to kill her off. Not. Allowed.
