Billy's desperation and his desire for Sam.
Sam and Dean's utter and complete lack of connection - lack of *everything*, right at this moment.
And teen-Sam's absorbtion in what he wants/needs/thinks to the point of...being a dumb ass. Heh.
But, yeah, John's obsession is scary as hell.

And Dean's need to do - something - is so gonna fuck him up.

Oh wow, so awesome, and yay, I got to read this early for a change! Silly alerts at ff.net are down. Um Billy is seriously creeping me out here, and I think part B is only gonna be worse...but of course he would want Sam to himself. Loved the part in the past here, and aww, Sam really wanted Dean to come with him, and knows he won't. (Huggles teen Sam) And gee, Elise really has the hots for him, doesn't she? Wondering now if that was always there, even back when Sam was a student, only she didn't show it...off to read the next part :)

“You don’t get shit, Sam. Get out of my fucking car.” His voice was rough, maybe with smoke or drink or sheer exhaustion, but Dean didn’t seem like he’d been out for a bender, he seemed distant and cold and contained, all clenched fist and concentrated fury.

Breaking my heart. *whimpers*

Sam whispered, quiet as a ghost, not over over over, not glory. Something more real than any of that. “I’m going, Dean. I want you to come. Please come.”

But Dean just kept sleeping.

Yup. Broken.
