After filling out the paperwork, I will officially be "on-call" for Federal Circuit Court jury duty.

Since about sixth grade, being on a jury been a dream of mine.

This will surprise nobody who even vaguely knows me.

Cross your fingers that they'll pick me for their team!

b

federal district court, on-call, jury duty, citizen, process, rights, awesome

Neat! I kinda want to (if work won't penalize me), but with a lawyer for a husband I doubt I'd get picked.

Probably not good to have me deciding someone's fate anyway... :p

Father = Lawyer
Brother = Lawyer
"Close Friend" = Law Enforcement.

I'm not likely my survey-trend here...

I asked Matt if you were less likely to be picked.

"Less likely?" "Yes." "Significantly less likely?" *shrug*

I've been on a jury before, it's fun. I think you would have a blast.

Even if it's just sitting around, I'll be hapy. :)

I had Jury Duty last month. It kinda sucked because of all the freaking waiting around we did.

1st day- Watch a boring video about Jury Duty.

2nd day- On call

3rd day- Go in and wait for several hours and then wait some more till they pick Jurors by putting each one through a series of questioning. Get picked for questioning. Answer questions only to be eliminated because I personally knew someone who is a DA. Get sent home.

4th day- Go in and wait. Wait for several hours till someone comes in and says "We don't need you afterall and we won't need you for the rest of the time. Everyone turn in your badges"

I got paid about $30

It seems that I get 40 dollars a day for federal.
I'm gonna enjoy whatever I can. :)

I have always wanted to be on a jury and will cross all fingers and toes (that makes 36! Oh, no wait, I lied.) that you are one of the chosen ones.

When I last went to jury duty they dismissed me immediately upon learning I was born and raised in Texas. Feckers.

Nothing at all! I LOVE my home state.
That's why I was pissed. I didn't understand why I wasn't good enough to serve on a Brooklyn jury if I was raised in Texas. Still don't in fact.
