It was cute and really funny. I liked it.

Two things, thought:

Dean takes this as a challenge and starts reading aloud sex scenes aloud

You only meant one "aloud", I take it. *g*

Sam grabs Dean and the duck around the edges of bookshelves

I assume the "the" found its way there and hid from you. *nods* It's okay. It happens to everyone once in a while.

That said, I love the idea of Dean liking Harry Potter. *g*

DUDE. I love this fic! Dean is so made up of awesome and I love Sam’s exasperated manner of dealing with him. I love Dean and the romance novels because, seriously, that was awesome. I love Dean and Harry Potter and Dean’s little defensive speech after Sam finds him with them. I love Lindsey’s reaction to book burning, because it’s pretty much my reaction to book burning, even if it’s a haunted book, and I love that the burning was the lamest one they’ve done, because that’s just funny.

And your witty banter is awesome. :D

Yay, I'm glad you liked it! I'd be sad about burning a book too, even if it was about sexually confused cats and causing trouble. And Dean + Harry Potter is probably my favorite thing ever. :D

Oh this is just made of funny. The sexually confused cat! The totally lame salt-and-burn! Dean becoming a secret Harry Potter fan! Dean mocking the romance novels, but then becoming absorbed! Hee.

And the Prufrock paraphrase just killed me dead. I kind of like a version of the character where Dean is a hell of a lot smarter than he lets on, in many ways, and he might throw out something like that just to screw with Sam. I don't think his cannonical character would use an Eliot reference, but I like the version of the character where he MIGHT, you know? And Dean's sense of snark plus highly literate references is, to me, all kinds of hot.

Thank you! I agree, canon!Dean probably wouldn't ever read (much less reference) Eliot, but I do think he's smart - though not in a traditional, book-learning way - and you're right, screwing with Sam would be fun. :D
