Just some questions ^_^;;

"The participants enter their icons directly in a post of their own." - Does that mean I have to post my entry here? Or do I post the icons at my community, and then make a linking entry here?

"You can enter up to four icons, please submit them in a new post. " Does that mean there are only 4 icons this round? Or only 4 icons in the preview (with the rest behind an lj-cut)? If there are only 4 icons this whole round, am I supposed to pick one of the images from each category (movie/vintage/fantasy/tv)? Or any 4 out of all the given?

No problem, they are very good questions:)
1. You should post your icons directly in this community. I guess your confusion comes from the 20in20 challenges with far more icons to post. That's not the case here, so you can directly enter in a new post here.

2. You can make up to 4 icons (or less) out of all the pictures. I gave more pictures so that you may choose your favourites.

I hope that was clear, do not hesitate if you have any other questions^^

You can blend other pictures if you wish to, as long as you use one of the given pictures, that's totally ok.
