Oh, and fans of historic children's book illustration, here's a newly-discovered site with some two dozen large scans of Ivan Bilibin's turn of the century graphics. It's Czech (I think) but that shouldn't be a problem.

I think I have a couple of translated books by that artist. (Firebird? Something to do with Baba Yaga?) If not him exactly, then someone else with exactly the same style. Beautiful stuff.

I think I might have a book with some illustrations of Ivan Bilibin's in it as well. The Baba Yaga pictures ring a memory bell somewhere, particularly the one with the heroine carrying the skull with the fiery light coming out of the eyes. Won't her sisters be surprised!

Magnificent artwork, I had no idea there was more. Good find, Bellatrys.
