Even if you are overworked and tired and despondent, don't leave the dishes so long that when you finally get to them, you have to ask yourself the question, "Are those grains of rice, or maggots, at the bottom of the sink ( Read more... )

Oh god I've done the dishes thing, most because it's so dry and cold at the moment that I'm stunned that any bacteria can grow. Then I found a nice mat of mould on a week-old cup of coffee. >_________>

A particularly good friend is of the opinion that the world would be a better place if people's egos were directly correlated to their ability. I'm inclined to agree.

To which my answer is, I don't want to know and a pot of boiling water.

getting stray hairs inside the flat-panel monitor screen

...but...HOW?? Inside the flat-panel screen...??

*heee* and *ewww* and *guilt, I should be doing dishes* and fervent agreement about boiling water being A Good Thing! (One upside to losing my apartment: I now live with preteens whose mother will nag them to do the dishes if I ignore the job. Though I do try to chip in and do my share.)

Having money doesn't necessarily mean you know what to do with it.

I think it must have happened in the same bouncing/frisking event that knocked the keys off - sufficient pressure can warp the screen frame enough that there's a thumbnail gap, and it must have slipped in then. Usually I can tap it down far enough that it doesn't show up, but it's really frustrating, b/c I have no courage to try to take the monitor apart, no matter how many assurances that it's possible to do so w/o destroying it I can find from computer customizers online.
