One other major flaw in Starship Troopers - the Bugs are at about the same technological level as the human race. This is a truly cosmic coincidence - off by a century either way and there would be no menace to fight. Of course, without this cosmic coincidence there'd be no justification for the Mobile Infantry - they'd be unnecessary against technologically inferior foes and useless against technologically superior foes. Also note Heinlein had a bad habit of stealing quotes - he swiped from Milton Friedman, D.H. Lawrence, John Stuart Mill and Herbert Spencer among others.

You've probably already read it, but Philip K Dick's the Golden Man is a pretty devastating critique of morality based on evolutionary superiority. If you haven't read it, look it up.
