Fox Ear Tutorial

Oct 25, 2007 22:09

I uploaded a new video onto You Tube regarding drawing up a pattern for a pair of fox ears. It's brand new and might still be compiling itself. Just give it a moment and try again in a few minutes.

I will also be uploading the rest of the tutorial regarding the actual cutting and sewing of the ears. I'd have left both parts as one, but You Tube ( Read more... )

Clever! I do mine slightly differently, depending on the situation. I might give your technique a whirl though, just to see how it looks. :)

Nice!

If you're planning on doing a whole bunch of nifty videos like these, though, it might be worth it to invest in a nice microphone.

I found it on the muffled side, and the voice in some clips was quite soft so I had to turn up my speakers for those parts, but then turn them back down for other parts because then those were too loud.
Not trying to nitpick, really! Just trying to offer a suggestion for future tutorial videos! ^_^

Aye, I evened it out as much as I could but my editing program doesn't offer much freedom (but it's free!)

This was originally gonna be a photos and write-up thing, but then I realized the pattern thing was going to be pretty hard to explain :P

I keep contemplating buying a proper recorder but I'm not sure I can justify the monetary expense.

Donation campaign?

With all these nifty free tutorials you post, I'm sure people would be willing to toss a bit in the ol' tip jar, so to speak, especially if you put up a little donation counter and let people know it was for a proper recorder to make even better tutorials (which are already awesome).

Hmm.. I'd probably pick up a bit of flack (ZOMG! You're not supposed to ask for money for art!) but it's a good idea.

I'll start looking at camcorders and figure out exactly what I'm dealing with regarding features and prices.
