Shore Leave 2012 - Jonathon Young

selannia, bleukittie and I spent a hot & sticky weekend in Baltimore for Shore Leave con, and met the wonderfully hot, hysterically funny Jonathon Young. Any of you who watched Sanctuary will recognize Jonathon as Nikola Tesla. I always loved Tesla. And now I also love Jonathon. :) Oh! And he was also Parrish on SGA! Did he talk about the Sanctuary cancellation at all? I'm still so completely heart broken by it :(

Yeah, it came up a couple times. He said that it basically comes down to money. Shows like Sanctuary are expensive to produce, and if the network doesn't think it's making enough of a profit, they start looking for something cheaper to produce. Which is why he says that television is currently a wasteland of reality programing.

Oh god, is he right or is he right? So much utter crap. And programs that are close to my heart like Sanctuary and Stargate get cancelled. Siigghhh...

He has a quick wit and a dry sense of humor. This was only his second con, and Saturday was fun. But by Sunday he had really relaxed into it, and had me laughing so hard I thought I was going to hurt something!

I think it's more due to the lighting in the room that is making him look blonde. I think it's naturally darker, but he is mostly grey at the moment. And his eyes looked grey to me.
