Vietnamese Chicken Salad

I have to make a note of this tasty, easy, inexpensive salad, based on this recipe.

Simply mix together:
  • 1 bag cabbage slaw (the kind with shredded carrots mixed in with the shredded cabbage)
  • 2 medium onions, cut in half and thinly sliced

A couple of dashes of nam pla. It's astoundingly cheap, and really adds a lot to the flavor of salads of this kind. It doesn't add any more calories than Worcestershire sauce, which it sort of resembles.

I have a large bottle of nam pla in my fridge, and add it to many things! I do like this salad just as it is, but I might try a fishy variation some day. :-)
