finally, the long wait is over. Spring 2011 anime season started! I'm happy that there are a lot of slice-of-life and comedic titles. I'm watching 9 titles so far but I might drop some along the way. I'm liking a lot of them though.

of all that have aired already, I have A-Channel, Sket Dance, Hapi Kappi (DON'T ASK WHY), Nichijou, Hanasaku Iroha, and Tiger and Bunny. I haven't properly watched Tiger and Bunny, A-Channel and Sket Dance yet but I like Nichijou and Hanasaku Iroha. Nichijou is so random! Hanasaku Iroha is good too and the drawing is really pretty. ♥

I've heard a bunch of really good reviews for Hanasaku Iroha, but I keep thinking that might be a bit of a drag to watch? Despite that it's super pretty, isn't everyone (except the main character) really unlikable? On the other hand, it's by the same people who did AngelBeats! and I feel like I owe them a chance.

I'm going to watch Sket Dance eventually (since I've heard so much about the manga), but I don't think I've heard mu8ch about Nichijou?

I'm starting to wean myself off of CityVille since it doesn't provide any satisfaction for me. Instead, it's a bitch to play, a bitch to keep up with, and most of my neighbors have ditched me so I can't get anything done and really, FarmVille takes up most of my time anyway...

But I whimpered when we had to build up the Spring Garden thing. Seriously, it came up when I had only nine more requests left for the day so I was basically powerless for half a day on that regards when everyone was sharing and gathering their materials. Plus, during the middle of that, I got my Sheep Pen for the Home Farm and I had to build that up while trying to get the Spring Garden too... And gah, with the flowers! Why must they take up the first page??? It's takes up space and time since I have to skip over the first page to get that the stuff I'm actually using...

I really liked Cityville at first, but it's become such a bitch to play and I can't find a design for my city that I like and I hate looking at it and so I've kind of let it fall by the wayside. I feel badly, I'm a crap neighbor in it, but... ugh, Farmville has been so much more fun lately.

OH SHIT I HAVEN'T EVEN GOTTEN THE HOME FARM SHEEP PEN YET, I didn't even know about it! THAT'S GOING TO BE SO MANY MORE MATERIALS, AUGH. I'm actually enjoying that Zynga is rolling out so many things to keep us entertained, I certainly prefer this to things being too slow, but... man, sometimes it's really hard to keep up! I feel like I'm spending more and more and more time on it! (But a lot of that is hovering over my news feed, too. orz)

And I hate that the flowers take up the first page! If we could do something with them now, it'd be different! But we have to just keep scrolling over them and it's SUCH A PAIN. I wish they would let us just use all supplies with one click more often, like they do when you feed a lamb bottles. ( ... )

I've tried redoing my city, getting rid of the earlier houses I put up and putting better ones in their places but I don't play enough to get enough money to spend (because it crushes my soul a little each time I play) and it lags so much more than FarmVille does ( ... )

I can spend hours on Cityville to painstakingly redesign it and I still hate the way it looks when I'm done. I'm kind of becoming convinced that there just isn't a good way to lay out the city (at least not without investing a lot of time/money, beyond what I want to do) and that sort of freed me up. If I can't make it cute, pfff, no thanks ( ... )

THOSE ARE BOTH ABSOLUTELY STILL ON THE TABLE. But I figure only the people I pester directly are going to write either of those for me, so the announcement was more for my ARASHI-minded flist. :D I like to be courteous when demanding presents. :D (OMG AKIHA/UMEDA AND EGOIST. WANT WANT WANT WANT WANT WAAAANT--!!)

The OAV came out a few days ago and then the first episode just popped up a day or two ago, too! IT'S REALLY GOOD SO FAR! Plus, DP put out all the way through volume 4 of the manga and I've pretty much been inhaling all of it. *___* (NEED THE NEWEST CHAPTERS SCANSLATED FANDOM, PLZ?)

One of the greatest things about tumblr has been finding people who are still enthusiastic about series like Dragonball and Sailor Moon, which are hard to find fans of on LJ. And omg the One Piece fandom there is DELIGHTFUL. But that thumbs up is one of my faaaavorites!

Yes! The second episode of the X-Men anime just came out, too! It's not bad at all so far, even really good in certain spots, though a little weird in the whole "omg a Western product as an anime!" sort of way. ♥

(...I am very very shallow. Also I've never read the comics and have forgotten most of the non-Gambit parts of the old '90s cartoon, so the Scott in my head is a mix of movie-Scott and X-men:Evo-Scott, both of whom are quite likable.

...only they killed off Jean? ;__; but...but...!)

Scott's design in the anime is one of my favorite things about it! I really like all of the designs for the most part, they stay true to the characters, but still look anime-like. And they do scruffy!Scott really, really well. ♥

They kill Jean off in the opening (which seems to be sort of Hellfire Club/Dark Phoenix-ish, but not really, they don't precisely explain it) and it's a really super pretty scene but... SIGH, I'm tired of Jean being dead. I give up, Marvel! I'll quit bitching about dead characters not staying dead if you just bring her back already!

*wistful* Man, I miss X:EVO, I really liked those versions of the characters! Though, I've actually started liking what they've been doing with Gambit in the comics again (at least last time I read, who knows if they've screwed him up in the last year again) but that's because Mike Carey was writing him and Carey is AMAZING AND WONDERFUL AND CAN HE WRITE ROGUE AND REMY AND XAVIER AND MYSTIQUE FOREVER, PLZ? Also, movie Scott! I have to be fond of the movies just because ( ... )
