Wow, a whole week has been and gone, and yet... the time for my departure from my home country is getting closer and closer, even though I still don't have an EXACT date that I will be leaving on

Wow, that's a lot of money, I hope it's totally worth it. Things for the carry-on bag: underwear, a pair of socks (incase your luggage gets lost), book or 2, ipod, camera, mobile phone, a small photo album. Dunno what else.. :S

a whole set of clothes! if your bags get lost, you wanna be able to change for when you go shopping for more..
Your travel insurance will pay for $300 or replacements i think till you get your luggage.
