1. What is the difference between a mousse and a foundation?I'm using Revlon Colorstay foundation now, and it's my second foundation -- before Revlon, I used Maybelline's dream matte mousse. My whole face needs it. :P The foundation would be very noticeable if I only put it on my scars and zits. It is the oily/combo one, and it's in the lightest shade which has pink undertones, it works but gives me a kind of tannish look, like if I put it all over my face my neck would seem much more lighter than my face. My face is quite red around my cheeks and nose, so once again only putting foundation here and there won't work.

Thanks for the suggestion though.

I think the key to making your foundation look good is really prepping your skin.
I really, really like Aveeno Positively Radiant moisturizer. It has SPF 15. I have skin like yours, and it has never once broken me out. I add a drop of jojoba oil if I'm extra dry (glow city!).
You could even mix a little bit of moisturizer in with the foundation to make it less cakey. In general, I would rather see a little bit of imperfect skin than a ton of foundation, but that's just my opinion. Good luck :)
