wavy hair?

My natural hair is slightly wavy that I used to be able to get fairly curly before. Lately all I've been doing is straightening my hair and now when I try to wear it natural it just lays flat and there are hardly any nice waves to it. I was wondering what the best products are,  to bring out the natural wave/curl in fine and thin hair. I'm looking ( Read more... )

my hair is like yours it sounds like. and i recently found a miracle product (im my opinion) but im freaking out thinking that they dont make it anymore! omg im so pissed, i just looked it up and its discontinued =( but it was the brilliant brunette full shine volumizing mousse, it is AMAZING, so i guess just try the volumizing mousse for blondes. i just wash my hair, towel dry it until its damp, and then put the mousse in (mostly on the roots) and then blowdry til its on the dryer side or damp or all the way dry and my hair is shiny, full, and wavy/curly!

d/c brunette stuff

not d/c blonde stuff! (this COULD be similar!)

your best bet is to get a curl activater in the form of either a lotion or a gel.
You can get this stuff from black hair shops! look out for products/brands: "Sofn'Free" 2 in1 Curl Activator Lotion, and the one i use is "world of curls" curl activator gel.

i did the same thing to my hair.Highly anoying lol. Although im mixed race my hairs fairly european(wavey loose ringlets), its not like tight afro curls- so curl activator is a universal product for any hair type really so dont worry about it being a "black" product.

Make sure you use a heat protective spray b4 you strighten you hair, and then make sure you deeply condition your hair when you wash it after!either leave your normal conditioner on for a good 10 mins or buy a intense conditioner treatment.

ACV works as a toner but i've personally found Witch Hazel to be better.

i also have fine/thin slightly wavy hair. we have to take extra special care of our hair because it tangles and breaks easily. with that being said, any amount of product is going to weigh your hair down and make it look dull and flat. not washing it as often (1-2 times a week only) with a no -cones, no SLS shampoo and using a no -cone conditioner on the length (from chin/neck down) daily will help. check out curly_girls. you can get a lot of info for wavy hair there.

straightening your hair is probably one of the worst things for it - as is anything that involves heat. however, hot rollers might be one of the more "gentler" in comparison and works great on hair that hasnt been washed that day.

for natural curl though, moisturizing often with a no -cone conditioner and oiling occasionally with coconut oil will be your best bet.

I recently bought Waves of Ency by Sunsilk after reading good reviews about here and I must say it is one of my favorite wave/curl enhancer. It also made my hair shiny and silky! :) I love good hair days!

I think your best bet is a haircut! Have the stylist cut it so the curls will show. If your hair is too heavy, it doesn't matter what you put in it-it won't curl.
