Packing earrings

Dec 06, 2006 11:34

Hey!

Thanks to everyone who responded to my question about bringing liquids on airlines. I'll let you know how that goes, haha.

One more question, whats the best way to pack earrings? I'm bringing about 5 pairs...how do I pack them without them getting tangled or lost?

Brigada! xoxo

Very small plastic bags make work for your earrings. Maybe saran wrap? :P Heh.

It's not particularly glamorous, but I buy really small ziploc bags -- somewhere around 2"x2" -- and store a pair in each bags. Then I pack the individual bags in a padded silk pouch to protect them a bit.

wrap each pair in a tissue and then put all of them in a zip lock

or if you know where to get a lot of those mini mini zip lock bags, u can put em in those and THEN in a bigger zip lock

Use an index card and poke each earring through it, then put the card in a ziploc bag.

yep. Though you can use a washcloth or similar too, then fold the cloth around so that the backs of the earrings don't rip the bag and the faces don't get smashed.

Personally, I'd be scared of a plastic baggie coming unzipped or being ripped. Tupperware is my friend. =) Cut up some index cards and poke your earrings through them, like spinsterkitten, but I'd put it in a small tupperware thingy if I were you.
