Hi, I'm planning on going backpacking across Europe at the end of the month and I have one thing that is annoying me because I don't know how to deal with it: My Hair. Here at home, I shampoo, condition it, use products on it and straighten it every day to get it looking how I want it. but when I go back-packing, I'm not going to have my ( Read more... )

Just find some cute wide ribbons and tie it around your head?

I don't know where you are going, but if you were going to Spain, I would recommend you to get anything, cause you can get straigtheners also here, from wella, garnier, loreal, etc. plenty of products.

it's not really about getting straighteners, as i have 3 pairs... i just dont think most hostels would have power points for me to use them and also it'd mean i have to lug them across europe with me. then i'd have to carry a charger converter thing as i think the UK's power is current is stronger than most european countries....

lol, no probs, i wasnt very clear. im told though that there are plenty of places to plug in your straighteners... might end up taking them after all!

You could use cute barettes or bobby pins to just pin the very front part of your hair off your face. I do it at work and just let the back stay wavy. It seems to work out nicely for me so that's something to try!

Braids could work; French braid, braided ponytail, braided pigtails, etc. Or when you wash your hair, do pin curls.
