Okay, so I haven't done a life dump in WAY TOO LONG and I am never sure how much of my life gets on Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr and how much of that any of you read and care about. So I'll do my best to go over what's happened in the past... what, month and a half or so? I don't think I've really posted much since getting back from Cameroon.

Having known a couple people who went to school for and tried to go into massage therapy, I'd maybe caution you that it's inhumanly difficult to make a liveable wage from. It's exhausting work for not much pay.

Granted, the people I've known who attempted massage therapy as a job were women, so they had a lot more bullshit to put up with from employers and clients alike. YMMV.

Edit: Also I feel you re: wanting to stop analyzing everything in the media ever. Part of the reason I started to distance myself from so much shit on LJ and Tumblr was due to immense burnout; I couldn't deal with the constant reminders of "HEY LIFE SUCKS" and being aware of the sociological flaws in everything I watched/read. It was really fucking up my mental state in a bad way. And still does sometimes.

It's funny that you mention that. Last week my regular RMT called me to let me know that she'll only be taking bookings on Saturdays henceforth because she took a full time waitress job. Pays better due to tips.
