I'm probably going to play it straight and try to think of something involving the biscuity type of cracker, but I just wanted to check whether non-UK folk are at all aware of crackers in the sense of a slang term for crazy, as in "that woman who keeps complaining about the squirrels watching her sleep is completely crackers"?

I just don't want to confuse people too much, particularly when I understand that cracker is a different and more offensive slang term in certain parts of the US!

I say use the prompt however you want, and if you're worried about people understanding the word, just put a note in the header, or make it your summary or something. I've seen people do that before. :)
