Last week, when I was posting the current chapter of my Final Fantasy fic (available at fine internets everywhere), I apparently stumbled on a bit of a controversy. Perhaps I am overreacting or being oversensitive. I don't think you are, but I think I said this before. If I didn't, well, there you go! You made a very good point the first time we talked about it, which is that people usually don't warn for het, and thus warning for slash/yaoi seems not only redundant but pretty insulting. Considering what you have to deal with very often in your own life simply by being true to who you are, it doesn't seem fair that you should suffer this in fandom as well, and frankly, I think that the way you've handled the situation so far as been commendable, and now that I see your point, I wouldn't warn either

I think I would be less conflicted about the whole matter if the pairing was more important. That way, I could just warn for it be done with it. Like I said, I don't have a problem with people not liking gay romance stories, it's just that my story isn't a gay romance story. In fact, I don't know of any of the current main characters that aren't too messed up psychologically to have a stable relationship. You might argue that Zack isn't, but he's sixteen years old. Being sixteen is too messed up psychologically for a stable romance ^^

I didn't mention that there were also objections based on Zack being "straight in canon". Well, one, he had a romance with a girl during his teenage years. Let me tell you, that's hardly a foolproof sign of heterosexuality. Secondly, it's fanfiction. Mixing things up slightly is what fanfiction does. Maybe it was just Zack they objected to, maybe they'd be more accepting of Cloud being gay. Because he sooooo is :D

Also, me stopping is the only way you're going to be able to catch up now, zooms!

I found the subtle buildup to the kiss perfectly plausible. Cloud is rather thickheaded, after all. I, for one, am really digging the story thus far. Keep up the good work, and don't let a few, vocal idiots stand in your way.

I was a bit blind sided by the kiss, but i saw it as kind of sweet on Zack's behalf of being so forward with Cloud and blond siding him. because Cloud is as asexual as i am and i would never have seen it coming either if I was in his place XD <3 =) I, for one, saw nothing wrong with the scene that needed any kind of warning. It was just a kiss. THere are more graphic things on tv between couples of any preference now a days.

Don't let it get you down, Basilton! \o/ I love your story and it always brings a smile to my face when I see that you've up dated!

Heeeee, blond siding! I think I have a new favourite word phrase. Cloud can be a bit ditzy, so he probably gets blondsided a lot xD

I don't really see him as asexual, more that he's messed up with his relationships... he's been confused about his attractions and what he wants, which is sort of the opposite of someone who's asexual, they really do know what they want (or don't, as the case may be).

Thanks for your supportive post... and all your reviews! I enjoy the pony-crack that comes out of them (err, maybe I should rephrase). I think it'll be about a day before FFN gets around to e-mailling me so I can reply though! *stabs it* It's been messed up for the last two weeks, I even had to follow a workaround to be able to post!

*nods* I can see that. Not being able to end any relationship, friendship or romantic, on good terms and other things forcing him to be introverted.

\o/ People should support each other and not try to knock others down. ^_^ ♡♥♡ And the pony-crack is awesome and i never thought you'd keep playing the pony game with me, so i'll support you now till either the end of time, or ponies make it into the story (because then i'll be too shocked to review for a while =O but fear not, i WILL review after i get un-shocked! =D)
