HP7 + being pathetic

Nov 20, 2010 13:02

So I finally saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (with subtitles even, that was a first!) and loved it <33 I won't go to any detail, but I just want to mention that Ron and Bellatrix didn't disappoint :P My fave HP movie by far. I'm definitely gonna go see it again :)

Also, am I the only one who didn't feel any emotion whatsoever when Dobby ( Read more... )

Wee, I saw HP7 pt1 yesterday too! I loved it, especially Ron. He was brilliant. Herminone too. And I didn't choke up about Dobby either, so there :-)

Yeah, Ron/Rupert is the best out of the trio, imo :)) And he was especially awesome in this one! And yay, I was beginning to think I was the only one not mourning poor Dobby lol

Katie didn't get emotional about Dobby. I cried.

Just go up and ask him. Or send him an email. And mention that you have a friend going to Ireland and you think it could possibly be helpful to stay with her to research your thesis.

Well, it's not that easy, at least not for me. I mean, he'd either tell me that he's available or not, it's not really about that, I just need to work up the courage to actually go ask him :/ You know, I've told you about this problem with talking to men, so... :)

i get major "stage fright" like that too. i hate how it inhibits me! I've gotten over talking in class in Spanish, but I still haven't been able to go on my own to introduce myself to an important person.

Maybe ask a friend to walk up with you, give you a nudge, then hang back while you nervously ask?

That's a good idea, I might ask smb to go with me, so it's not just the two us. Thanks! :) But it makes me feel so pathetic, it's not like it's a matter of life or death or anything. It's a simple 'yes or no' question and I'm not an idiot for wanting to ask him, but I still feel like one :/

When me and my sisters were all reading the books I was all "I can't believe she killed Hedwig, that was cold." and my sisters were all like "Whatever, I can't believe she killed Dobby." and I felt guilty cause that really didn't bother me. I haven't seen the movie yet but I imagine it will be the same experience lol.

*hugs* your emo moment (as you call them) make me sad cause you are awesome and should always be happy!!

Yeah, I felt sadder about Hedwig too! And in the movie as well, even though the scene about her death was nothing like Dobby's. Dunno, I've found Dobby extremely annoying ever since he appeared, so I couldn't make myself care about his death lol

Well, it makes me sad too, because I hate being this pathetic :/ I'd need you in RL to tell me I'm awesome all the time, it might boost my self-confidence lmao Anyways, thank you, even though you're too nice, as always :)

I'm with you re; dobby's death. yeah it was sad but tbh when I was reading the books, I remember that I felt more sad when Hedwig died. It was so sudden, being at the very start of the book and in the movie, they didn't even mention anything about it which was disappointing. Was it also like this in the book? I have to re-read lol I've forgotten so much of it :/

Hope you manage(d) to ask your teacher. Don't hate yourself lol youre amazingggg

I felt sadder about Hedwig as well! :/ In the movie too. And honestly, I don't remember much from the book either, as I didn't really like it. It was very disappointing to me. But from I do recall, I can't remember Harry making a great deal out of Hedwig's death later on in the book.

And I haven't talked to my teacher yet, I'll have a chance on Tuesday, after the lesson I have with him :/ I really hope I'll work up the courage to ask him, but it's as likely as not.
