So I've been doing fine overall with the inevitable break up that I had posted about a few weeks ago. It was all conducted by Facebook IM and text messages, and she just didn't want to talk in person. I log on tonight to discover that she had de-friended me. So what does it mean to really take control of your life? I am finding it means to totally examine my motivations for my feelings and really get a the heart of why I react to certain things. Overall, year 40 for me kinda sucked and I’m glad it’s going to be over shortly. Even though I haven’t lost my job, car, house, a loved one or a limb it’s still been pretty miserable. This week was an interesting one at work. I was basically flying solo the entire time I was on shift. Right now I am working nights, which means I am the ranking officer at night. I have an appointment next week for a consultation for LASIK surgery. I am thrilled to death of the possiblity of life without glasses. Keep your fingers crossed that I'm a candidate and they can completely correct my vision.
