Does Incubus participate in the loudness war?

Having recently gotten into seriously good listening devices (both speakers and canalphones) - I've begun to chase down well recorded stuff to listen to - and that means CD's/FLAC (lossless audio) beats MP3's of any bitrate.

Oh interesting read. I actually don't know the answer to your question, and wouldn't know how to discover the answer to it off the top of my head. How can I find out?

Its fairly easy to tell a well recorded album from a poorly recorded one.

Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing / Brothers in Arms are impeccably recorded. You can crank the volume on those albums and not really feel any fatigue/pain from listening to them back to back.

Yet if you listen to something like RHCP - Californication, you can't get anywhere near the volume - and its almost painful (or is in some circumstances) to listen to it at reasonabley loud volume for the whole album.

Incubus will either be easy on your ears at loud volumes or not.

Failing that, you need to look at a wave form.
