LOL, the nostalgia of being harassed by drunk BDSM guy! The clusterfuck rush into the convention centre! That "Deal's off!" bitch in the panel room! MEEEEEEEMORIES~
If I can save up a bit of money in the next few months, I'll totally go again. And plan ahead this time, so I won't have to spend a month desperately searching for a hotel that isn't booked solid. Are you thinking of hoteling it next year, or doing the same thing you did this year?
I'm planning on going next year (and waiting for the online registration to open is a pain) and you can sleep on me any time you want.
Great recap of the final day. By that point it looked like you had hit the wall. ibroketuesday and cookiesimone are the masters of not only getting in line early but putting up a near impenetrable line of defense. I bow down at their awesomeness
( ... )
I know, right?! I don't think I'd have the endurance to do it two days in a row. And they laid down the line of defense like it was freaking Starcraft. I feel like I should bring a trebuchet or something next year just to keep up.
I felt like was in Bizarro World where bad taste ruled supreme.
Even the people I know who watch Smallville generally think it's been sucking lately. From what I saw in the panel, I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything.
The SPN panel was so freaking awesome. Completely worth the camp-out wait. And YES PLZ to the Bobby and Castiel show. Throw in Ellen, Jo, and Chuck as regular guests, and it would be the best thing ever. (They could call it "Angel"-- O WAIT.)
And of course one of the highlights was meeting so many people from LJ :-)
Yes! I'm so glad I got to meet so many awesome LJ people. Even if I was half-asleep when I met some of them. ;)
I am definitely going again next year. My mom was surprised to hear that I wanted to go back after I finished telling her about everything that happened, because apparently it sounded like I HATED IT WITH A FIERY PASSION (EXCEPT FOR THE LAZER TAG), but there were some nice moments. And I think I'll be more prepared for the sucky stuff next year, so I won't let things get to me as much, and hopefully no one will die right before I leave for San Diego, so I'll be in a better mood!
You guys had more camp-outs and setbacks than I did, too. (And more encounters with nasty, seat-stealing bitches in the panel rooms.) Live and learn, I guess. Here's to next year going more smoothly. :)
Hey! U 4got 2 thnx ME 4 teh noble attempt to save U ovah teh phone! I resent that! ;O But seeing Castiel and Pedobear, I let you slide THIS TIME. California isn't scary anymore now, is it?
Was that the attempt to save me when my computer cord died, or the attempt to talk me out of the lineup? ;O Either way, THANK U FOR CALLING ME. Pedobear sends a bag of free candy your way. Though it has a CERTAIN SOMEONE'S name on the tag instead of yours for some reason. Silly bear!

Free lodgings > everything. We'd totally be staying with my cousin again.
