Additional Notes: The problem with Kay is that in the comic, he broke a nerd's hand for flashing him a live long and prosper. He punched another one out. So to downgrade this to movie level, he's not going to be over-joyed at canon punctured and will probably tell you off. If you're persistent with it, or bring his love life into it, there's a 98% chance he'll hit you.
