Life without PhD work

Well I'm starting to gradually settle into post-PhD work life. I was meant to be buying a horse 2 weeks ago but 2 days before we were goign to have her vetted I received a text from the dealer/owner to say that the horse was no longer for sale. Apparently she had a riding school horse put to slep that day and needed the horse I was going to buy

It must be strange after so much studying to have finished - I feel that way now too and that's only after a year. Enjoy your time - you deserve it! xxx
