I was wondering how you were getting on. It's fantastic that you are enjoying doing this last bit - it will show in your writing too.

Hope the rest of the time goes as well - we must catch up when you're done and dusted too xxx

We definitly will catch-up! I think we have some unplanned BBQ's on the horizon for later in the year - if we get nice weather!

I've ended up changing ever single chapter of the thesis and discovered that I do have a central argument! (That is partly why I had to alter ever chapter!) It has made me feel a lot happier and more confident and I have even subjected poor Dean to reading various bits! (Poor thing - bits in the context of PhD means he has had to read 4000 word chunks!)

How is your course/work going?

How are you guys in general?

Ooh - BBQs sound great: we just bought our first proper one yesterday. Dean sounds much more tolerant than Dan would be :)

Nearly finished the final essay of this year which is a relief. Just two exams to go and that's the second year done!

We're really good actually, still loving the house and muddling along as usual xxx

Thank-you! I'll know by next Wednesday what needs to be done next. I am really keeping my fingers tightly crossed that it isn't going to be anything horrific or major! You just never know though - every one see's things in different ways, have opinions shaped by their own background and, of course, their own agenda!

Hope your summer term goes well.

Ah, thank you, should do! Only a month and I send my Elevens and Twelves off on study leave!

I agree with you completely - thesis writing is so subjective - so is external reading! Hope it goes well, you deserve it too. :)

I am glad you feel so proud of it, you deserve to. Its a huge achievement, to have researched and written a piece of research which will add to the sum total of human knowledge. Bet you'll still feel proud of it in ten years.

Most of us don't contribute anything significant to humanity. I think my main contribution has been to highlight the joy of fake facial hair......especially beards made out of pink fur.
