So. I'm having back surgery tomorrow. I'm the teensiest bit freaked out about it. The freaking out is not at all helped by the fact that my mom has been walking around all day making comments like, "what if they give you too much anesthesia and you end up with brain damage?" o.o Why thanks, Mom. That's one fear that actually hadn't occurred

And to counteract your mother's spoken concerns - a friend of mine had back surgery recently. She was up and about even faster than they predicted and is feeling so much better than before her surgery. She now wishes she'd done it sooner.

It was already tomorrow before I saw this, but still wanting to wish you a speedy recovery (and I know from all the various times my mom's had anesthesia over the past ten or fifteen years, those folks *know* what they're doing, and they do it extremely well, if that helps any).

I'm home now, doing really well on the resting, not so good with the reading. This is the first day I've been able to spend any significant time on the computer. I guess I'll have to work my way up to it :)
