No, I don't think there were any new manga announcements, except Tokyopop's whatever, which wasn't really anything specific. Hopefully that means we'll got lots of exciting news at SDCC? Or even just one or two new things?? My expectations keep getting lower...
Spindle's End!!! Wow, I still remember reading that first sentence/paragraph at my local bookstore when I was in middle/high school. And then borrowing the book from the library some time later and bringing it on a youth group trip and staying up laaaaate in my cabin reading it with a flashlight. I've read it at least once since then :D And you found it in a giveaway box!! What luck! I like Robin McKinley's adaptations of fairytales, and I think this one is my favourite of hers.
ummm ... somehow I remember some publisher hinted about announcements of some sort? I guess it was Viz and anime then ... Oh, I do like Spindle's End. How old do you think Narl was? I had planned to leave Spindle's End in a park for someone else's enjoyment, but plan to reread it, so ... I'll keep it for a little while longer, but let me know if you're interested, I'll send it your way after I reread it ...
Oh yeah, Viz had news about their subscription anime service, I guess... That didn't have anything to do with my interests, so I ignored it. Er, and DMP announced some titles but nothing I was interested again (BL, etc).
Haha, I don't remember what age I came up with in my head for Narl-it's been a couple years since my last read. And thanks for offering me the book :D I have to keep telling myself, "You don't need more books, Lys. You don't." But if you plan to get rid of it eventually, I would be interested when that time comes... ^^;
(now I'm remembering all the other books I really liked back then... ah, those good ol' days.)
Re Viz and DMP thanks for typing them out I saw those posts, too and just would like to make sure that I didn't miss any important ones :) "I would be interested when that time comes..." ok, it's yours when the time comes.
more pretty font for you how about orange - assuming that you're not stalking that site already :)
"all the other books I really liked back then ..." I wonder if you care to share the titles when you have time. Thanks a bunch.
