Mixed Vegetables is no Ouran, but I liked it anyway for what it was :D This volume was kinda crazy, though, I agree. Hanayu is a confusing girl. Actually, I'd like to have seen more of their post-highschool life, since I think that's when it would've got interesting with them actually pursuing their interests. Oh well. I did think it was interesting how it takes so much longer for Hanayu to be considered capable of serving sushi at the shop, compared to Hayato's stay in France and return to open his own shop. The Japanese are super-strict about sushi!!

I can't really tell why this volume is disappointing to me, I guess the whole Hanayu's confusing way to get Hayato to follow his calling isn't that great. I agree, I would like to know more about their after high school life, too.

Hah, I think it'll be reserved if Hayato was to open a bakery in France, he's going to be an apprentice for years, and Hanayu was to have a sushi restaurant in France :D

Haha, that's probably true about the reverse! I admit, from the beginning of the series I hoped they'd open up a joint sushi-and-cake shop together, but I guess it was not to be... I'd go to a place like that though!

Well, reading about the locations of these places in manga, it seems to me that's it's very unlikely that there will be a combo of sushi and bakery, maybe they can be next to each other. But the author seems to want him to open the shop where her father's used to be. Also, I wasn't sure what's the significance of Hayato's returning and Hanayu's brother returning to Japan for college. These 2 events can be independent, right? I suppose it was to tell readers how long Hayato studied in France.
