Kanji's been thinking far too much these last few days. It's out of character.

They pulled Naoto out the dungeon late, and he - she - still isn't back at school. Chie told him it was the same when they rescued Yukiko; it was the first time and they didn't know what they were doing, so they took longer. More time you're in there, the more messed up you get.

Shouldn't have taken nearly as long to get Naoto - they've done this a bunch of times now - but they had almost nothing to go on. Total enigma. Of course, Kanji never let on that he knew a little more about the guy than most, but "oh yeah, he sucked me off in a park" probably wouldn't have helped Rise find him. Or her. Definitely wouldn't have helped, come to think of it, because it turns out Kanji didn't know a damn thing about Naoto

Wasn't long afterwards that Naoto got himself kidnapped on purpose; simultaneously the smartest and dumbest thing Kanji's ever known anyone to do. And he wishes he could straighten out the pronouns in his head, because reconciling Naoto the boy with Naoto the girl is starting to piss him off.

He reaches to close the blinds on the window - but a figure in the street catches his eye. Thank you for writing this! (I like the very in character Naoto who's kinda screwed up herself and not at all hearts and flowers and a Kanji who understands completely.) It's strange that I'm taken more by the conversation and feelings than the actual sexing, but this was the exception.
