This weekend Charlie rented a backhoe. He looked like a kid on a toy, but he got lots of work done. He put a trench in along the driveway, and today I connected the water line. I found something called “flex-line”, it comes in rolls of 100 ft. I put in 300 ft in the trench. Much easier than dealing with PVC pipe, but by the end of the ( Read more... )

We are camped out at Defeated creek campground and moving to another State campground in a week. The upside is that it is very inexpensive; the downside is that there is absolutely no internet connection. Well, my darling daughter has been accepted to UWF (Pensecola) I'm thrilled and it is a great weight off my shoulders. We will probably be moving come summer and I need to know that she will have a place in college, and this college is not only well repected but also the closest drive to where we will live ( Read more... )

I saw Burn after Reading last night.
The Coen brothers went back to what they do so well, which is black comedy.
I loved Blood Simple and Barton Fink, and disliked No County because it was just dark.
Burn was a bedroom farce where some people die. I laughed my ass off.
And as the CIA head says " come back to me when this makes sense"
