the difference between butch and bitch is where people assume your orientation is. i am a confident and take-charge sort of person, mostly. i have no shame because i have nothing to be ashamed of. if my order is wrong, i will take it back and make them redo it. if i am in an arguement and i know i am right, i will refuse to fight anymore rather ( Read more... )

Someone accuse you of being a lesbian recently? I, for one, never thought you were gay.

I'm pondering your statment about never surrendering. Do you mean that you would never say "I was wrong" when you didn't think you were wrong? Or something else?

I have certainly said, "Okay, we'll do it your way" even though I disagreed. That could be construed as surrender. But if, for example, the person I disagree with is my boss at work, it seems okay to acknowledge that the authority is theirs. Or even in a relationship, to keep the peace and recognize that agreement will not always come, and I can't always have my way.

not to my face, not recently, tho i do on occasion still get "the look" when i am doing something "manly" (see exclaiming over tools at the hardware store etc). i didn't know that people thought of me that way in HS until some years later when they expressed surprise that i had kids. it was no one who knew me well, but it was more than a few people ( ... )
